How to Apply Your Nail Wraps
How to Apply Nail Wraps
Whether you're lining up for your first 5K or chasing a PR at mile 26.2, your nails deserve to show up and show off too. Nail wraps are the ultimate race-week hack: no smudging, no drying time, and they actually stay put from your carbo loading to that Medal Monday picture. Here's how to apply them like a pro—no salon required.
What You’ll Need:
-
Nail wraps
-
Nail file
-
Cuticle pusher or orange stick
-
Nail buffer
-
Rubbing alcohol or nail cleanser
-
Scissors (optional)
-
Clear top coat (for extra staying power)
Step-by-Step: Nail Wrap Application for Runners
1. Make sure your nails are clean.
-
Wash your hands and remove any old polish or oils.
-
Wipe each nail with rubbing alcohol to help the wraps stick better.
2. Push back your cuticles.
-
Use a cuticle stick or pusher to gently push cuticles back.
-
Trim any excess if needed—smooth nail beds = better stick.
3. Buff lightly.
-
Gently buff the surface of your nails to remove shine and help wraps grip.
4. Match wrap sizes to each nail.
-
Choose the wrap that best fits each nail. We offer 16 size options per pack to find the right size for you
-
Pro tip: Go slightly smaller than your nail bed for the cleanest look. Wraps stay on best if the wrap size is slightly smaller than your nail, this avoids them touching your cuticles and allows for a clear top coat to seal the edges.
5. Peel, place, press.
-
Peel clear top coat off. Remove the wrap off the backing.
-
Place it on your nail, starting near the cuticle but not touching it.
-
Press and smooth the wrap from center outward to remove bubbles or wrinkles.
6. File off the excess.
-
Fold the wrap gently over the edge of your nail.
-
Use a downward motion with a nail file to trim the extra.
7. Seal the deal.
-
Apply a clear top coat to lock it in.
-
Let it dry for a few minutes and you’re good to go!
Tips for Runners:
-
Long lasting when applied right, our nail wraps usually last 7-10 days. Make it a pre-race ritual. They also work great with a gel and salons can apply these for you.
-
Avoid soaking your hands for a few hours post-application.
Nail wraps are like your race-day playlist: low-maintenance, high impact, and just the boost you need. So slap ‘em on, tie your laces, and get ready to look ✨flawless✨ at the finish line.
